Here's mine.

Desktop (2 years old):

Case: CM HAF932 AMD Edition
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate
CPU: i7 960
Mobo: Asus P6T
GPU: GTX 480
RAM: Corsair 6GB 1600 DDR3
Blu-Ray R/W drive
SSD:Intel 80GB
HDD: WD 300GB VelociRaptor
PSU: CoolerMaster 1000w Gold

Total: $2900 before tax. And people said building your own PC from parts from Frys, Micro Center and Newegg was cheap. :p

Laptop: (3 months old)

Alienware M17X (because they had a 25% off sale)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
CPU: i72860QM
500GB hybrid SSD
Blu-Ray drive

Total: IIRC it was $1700 before tax. Yes I wanted to pay a couple hundred more for the same build with pretty lights.
I'm here! I'm furry! I'll try not to shed! =^_^=

My 4 year old Q6600, Gigabyte EP45 DS3L and 8800GT did cost me $800 at the time, but I think I've spent roughly $1300 if I include ram, HDD and PSU upgrades.

My current laptop is a late 2011, baseline 15" Macbook Pro with a 128gb SSD and 8gb of ram. Worth about $2200 with taxes.

My next rig is going to be fairly expensive, though I'm still saving up for that.

Intel Core i3 2330M

~300 Euros

And I'll replace my GTX 570 with a ASUS GTX 670 DC2T and add a Dell U2711 next month. And I also have a smartphone and a tablet.

I spend way too much money on this stuff...

2010 MacBook Pro w/ 2.4GHz C2D, 4GB RAM, 250GB hard drive, 320M graphics, 13" screen, lightweight, great battery life, etc. $1120

I upgraded the RAM to 8GB ($80 from Newegg iirc) and replaced the hard drive with a 128GB SSD that I already owned (had paid like $240 for it the prior year iirc).

edit: Oh, I also have a 24" Dell 2408WFP monitor I bought ages ago for like $500. I use that with the above sometimes, though it's mainly used for my Xbox 360. I don't have nor want a desktop computer.

I don't play anything remotely demanding, and if I do, it's on a lower resolution, 1440x900 or 1366x768.

GTX 460 v2

About $550 after rebates.

128GB M4 SSD

$580 including SSD, RAM and drive caddy for HDD.

Unless something drastically changes, I don't see myself upgrading for another 3+ years.
