PC 3D via HDMI?

#1thomasfreidPosted 5/31/2012 3:13:07 AM
How good is it?

Someone was telling me that you can only get 60/60 at 720p and 24/24 at 1080p.
Is this true? I don't understand at all.

I am asking because I am going to get the Samsung S27A950D to use as my bedroom PC and PS3 monitor.

Current HDMI does not have the bandwidth for 120hz at 1080p. Nvidia 3D Vision monitors use dual-link DVI for full performance.

That's what I was curious about. My laptop only has HDMI and VGA the only one in common with the monitor is HDMI.

Does it have enough bandwidth for 120hz refresh at 720p? If so that could work as games will run a lot smoother at 720p anyway.

Sweet as.

Will HDMI v1.3 work or do I need v1.4?
