How do people even get "YouTube" careers?

It still boggles my mind that people are making $100k a year just uploading CoD videos on YouTube and other game commentaries. I've seen a lot of people making money that aren't even talented or interesting voice personalities. It's just weird to me.

They're good at the most popular game out right now, or have lots of good advice or stories to tell. It's not very hard to understand.

Yes they do

YouTube is a good way of making money. Musicians use it as a resume, people just blog about their lives, Video Game Personalities (like Yogscast)

You dont even need to be good, just not be boring

Fix'd

You can spot one of these for profit "yootoob game commentators" easy because they never deviate from their official checklist of cliches and tropes they MUST follow.

Also they just sound insincere and fake like something you would see on G4TV.

EMT makes MEGA f***ing mint. Which is sad because they've been "mailing in" that show for over a year. Random food item slopped together with bacon and fast food + brand name booze they are paid to use + sluts + Derp. Get paid.

I highly doubt anyone uploading COD videos/commentary is raking in 100k a year.

The big name, sponsored people, like Ray William Johnson most certainly do. They also release content very frequently and it takes a lot more effort than you think to put it together.
