JRPGs are pretty much a console genre. They were never popular on PC, sadly. --- mmarkster posted... Even though the game runs in 720p, it produces another 480p stream for the New Controller. That's like 1200p!
Recettear, Chanetlise, Ys, and Cthulhu Saves the World / Breath of Death double pack are some western made jrpgs. --- "The easiest way to stop piracy is ... by giving those people a service that's better than what they're receiving from the pirates." ~ Gabe Newell.
Ys Origin was released today. Oath in Felghana has been on Steam for about 2 months and it's very good.
Last Remnant is on Steam as well, but I don't know much about it other than it's lacking the technical problems of the 360 version. --- i5 2500k at 4.5ghz - Sapphire 5850 crossfire - MSI Z68A-GD80 - Seasonic X 750W - GSkill 16GB - Crucial m4 128GB - NZXT Beta EVO
Last remenent is good it was rated bad because the requirements were a little bit higher when it came out and the 360 version was horrible. the PC version is actaully pretty good it looks good runs smooth and the requirements arent freakishly high for and half decent current computer. it is lacking in some areas (tutroals) but its still really good
Ys is also fantasic and one of my Favorite JRPG sereis`s of all times. --- ErrorSupply 3-D DS -OMG! It's the ultimate anti-pirate tech O:.
First thing that came to mind is The Last Remnant. I believe it's a steamworks game so it's best to buy the boxed version because for some reason they won't bring it below the $50 mark on steam and it only comes down during rare sales. In fact even during Square Enix sales I believe it rarely effects The Last Remnants price. --- 2500K @4.5Ghz // GTX 680 2GB // 8GB RAM // Extreme3 Gen3 Mobo
