KnetamightPosted 5/31/2012 9:35:22 PM | Just finished my first build, however I'm running on an old video card. It's a Radeon 5770 and I'm currently running two monitors. However, I want to upgrade and get a third monitor... my issue is should I buy dual 6850s or buying one 7850? I don't want to spend more than $300. All the monitors are DVI, so I'm assuming I would have to buy one or two adapters for mini displays. --- bossbattles.org - Boss Battles: Gaming for a greater cause |
Snuckie7Posted 5/31/2012 9:37:38 PM | 6850CF will be a bit faster but one 7850 would be better in every other way. --- Dell XPS L501x | Intel Core i5 460M @ 2.53GHz | NVIDIA GT 420M OC @ 700/900 | 4GB 1333 RAM | 500GB 7200 RPM HDD |

BMANZZSPosted 5/31/2012 9:39:29 PM | I'd say the HD7850. Newer tech, lower power consumption, much quieter. --- i5-2500k (@4.3GHz) Hyper 212+ | AsRock z68 Extreme3 | GTX 560 Ti 448 @(820/1980) CM690 II Adv | G-Skill 2x4GB PC1600 | CM Silent Pro 700W |
thaandieselPosted 5/31/2012 9:50:12 PM | 7850 as well, though the price of cfx 6850's is very attractive. catch a deal with good rebates(even though i hate rebates for obvious reasons) and you can probably bag them for $100 a piece. --- <- Q9550@3.3 - G31M - Hyper 212+ - 4 gig 1066 - GTX 470 650mhz - xfi 5.1 usb - turtle beach HPA2 true 5.1 - 64 gig Mushkin SSD -> |

Also, this 6850 is $179. If I splurge a little more I could grab two of these. --- bossbattles.org - Boss Battles: Gaming for a greater cause |
