You are aware that Microsoft has never said that they are locking computers to their operating system

If you buy a Windows RT tablet, you cannot run Android or Debian on it because of Secure Boot. Each OS needs to be key-verified by the UEFI module and Microsoft de-facto controls this.

Contrast this with your average Android tablet where you can boot any OS that you can get to run on it.

If you're a Mac user though you have no right to criticise Microsoft, as they are far better than Apple's ridiculous practices.

And Silverlight is far better than Flash and Java in many ways.


I went to newegg and I did a search on "operating systems" and there is not selling a single operating system that's not made by Micro$oft. If that's not a monopoly, then I don't know what is.
