Hyper 212 EVO or H40

#1jordandrakoPosted 5/31/2012 11:57:07 PM
I'm in the middle of buying parts right now (sig top is bought, bottom is to be bought) and the combos I had in my cart disappeared. I was looking for new ones and I found my one with my mobo and the h40 for $20 off, making it only $40. Is it any better or am I still better off staying with the Hyper 212 EVO?

212 Evo.

Crazy, right? Hyper 212 Evo performs almost as well as the H60.

Even though the game runs in 720p, it produces another 480p stream for the New Controller. That's like 1200p!

Well hell, I was about to throw the H60 in the cart since it also has a $20 combo deal... guess the only step up that's worth it is the H100 huh?

Apparently, H80 is a good step up, according to a random comment on some random forum somewhere.

Edit: Yeah, H80 seems to be quite a bit better under high thermal output.

I second the H80 or hell even the H100 if your tower can fit it. This is coming from someone who owns both a H80 and a H100. The H80 keeps my Phenom x4 965 pretty cool. The H100 is working miracles to keep my i7-3770k pretty cool at 4.8 ghz.

I'm sticking with the EVO for now, later on down the road when I do some upgrading I'll probably add the H100 or whatever replaces it to my case. The NZXT Phantom 410 definitely has room for it.
