Skype's decent for small scale things, Teamspeak is great when you need a few hundred people in a channel at once. Personally I wouldn't use either. Mumble or Ventrilo are what I use most, with a preference for Mumble

for server admins NOTHING beats teamspeak, id even say user experience teamspeak i also the best, quick easy options menus for setting up ur mic, easy testing etc

it also has extremely simple change volume option for individual users client side, of which is buried in ventrilo

so Teamspeak >>>>>>>> Mumble > Ventrilo > Skype
