get a better screen.

What's wrong with the screen? I like the anti-glare more than the vibrant, having actually seen both types.
they're coming!

If you want to compile large programs like Linux kernels, a quad-core is always nice.

That's what I was thinking, and why I chose the processor I did ((that one IS quad, right??))

What programs are you going to be using?
stripped of tonnes of features like LAN support to appease gaming 2.0 business design models and pie graphs so Robert Kotick can renovate his kitchen.

From the looks of my schedule, I'll be very heavily into Java, C++, and RPG/IV (and other IBM stuff)

Edit: Flash as well.
And I'll be doing a lot of work with Java and C++ on my own as well, as possibly python,
they're coming!

No, it's dual-core (M).

Chips labelled with QM are quad-core.

Would it look better on a smaller screen?
I could get a 14 inch same specs for the same price

You want 1600x900 minimum on a 14" or 15".

I don't agree. I feel like 14" 768p looks fine, but 15.6" is better at 900p.
