is it still worth buying?

the starting price...is starting at.....
$2,ooo + i added the 2x 7970m cf so yeah if u go to dell u would see how much it is.
200$ e-gift card
5% of $2,374.75...gift card..witch is $118 and change gift card,,,

is alienware still worth the buy?

Honestly? I have nothing against Alienware, they always have and still do (since Dell) make nice computers.

But that is an insanely terrible value. No computer should cost $2,500, laptop or desktop. It just isn't necessary.

You can likely get the same specs for much cheaper elsewhere.

any other laptop that does dual gpu?

and again for people flaming about desktop, i dont have that much space to have a desktop,monitor,,keyboard...to throw around

Even if so. You are probably better off in the long-run buying a really nice $1,200 laptop now, and another really nice $1,200 laptop in a year or two from now. The $1,200 will still perform great now, and the $1,200 one in the future will perform better than the m18x you are considering now.

When you take performance needed to play games well today, and factor in the performance needed to play games in the future - it's just not a good value or investment when you take the overall life of it into account.

But hey, it is your money. Do what you want with it. No doubt that is a badass laptop.

I completely agree. Going completely high end in either a desktop or a laptop is just silly unless you have so much money that you use franklins for toilet paper.
