Hardly. I paid $1964 for it, minus the SSD. Configure a similar NP9170 and compare the price:

Don't forget the OS. The screen is a toss-up. On one hand, the quality is closer to Clevo's 72% gamut screen but it's glossy instead of matte, so it's up to you whether to include it or not. Whatever extra I paid was well worth it for the much better keyboard, warranty, and other features. It's good thing most Sager buyers don't have to pay sales tax.
