Trying to connect my Nintendo Wiimote to my Windows 7 notebook.

#1wheepitupPosted 6/2/2012 1:31:50 PM
I am trying to use the wiimote with my sager np8170 notebook, but everytime i go to bluetooth settings and pick "search for devices" while the wiimote is in pairing mode (by holding 1+2 keys till the lights blink) my notebook simply won't detect the wiimote.

My bluetooth device is a "CSR Bluetooth device" is this simply an unsupported bluetooth adapter?

Wii Remotes don't use bluetooth.

Try the PlayStation Move Wand/Navigator.

Actually, they do. I've synchronized my android phone with one before. I don't know why it won't show up, though. Bluetooth is finicky as hell.

Oh wow, they do show up on phones. Must have mixed up the IR that they use for motion tracking.

What's their PIN? Neither 0000 nor 1234 work.

Sorry I couldn't help with your issue.

I used a specific market program to pair it, so I didn't use any codes. Search for "Wii" on the android market, and you can find one that sets it up as an input device and lets you define the specific buttons. Amazing for an emulator.

All the tutorials I read tell me to right click on the bluetooth icon and pick add a device. Problem is there's no option to do that.

Did you try the "real wiimote" in the drop down menu?
