with the 500 series the sli scaling was really good. ive never owned a dual gpu like the 690 which im debating on getting but is the scaling as good as sli if i buy another 690 down the road or stick with a pair of 680s?

Scaling gets worse the more gpus you add. Not worth it past three.

Quad-SLI is no where near as efficient as SLI/Tri-SLI.
