I recently purchased a new Clevo W110ER and it already came with a valid Windows 7 Home Premium. Only today did it pop up saying my Windows was now genuine. It led me to the Microsoft site and I had to download this so called validation tool. I continued and I end up with choices to select between Windows 7 versions to purchase. Is this Microsoft's scheme to screw me? I don't know how to get past this.

Any help?

Microsoft does not do such things. If you bought your Windows 7 license through XoticPC or whatever, it sounds like a screw-up of some kind on their end.
