Terraria or Minecraft?

Never played either one, what should I get? What one is the better game?

They aren't even in the same genre. The only similarity is the digging/building. Terraria is a lot like Castlevania, whereas Minecraft you can pretty much do anything (a crazy amount with mods).

I'd personally say Minecraft, unless you have friends that want to play Terraria with you.

I would just be playing solo, don't really have friends who pc game much, most console game.
I do both pc and console, but really interested in either Minecraft or Terraria, the whole survival and exploring thing seems fun

I have both, and each game has its merits - Minecraft obviously has large 3D world, more variety of items and blocks, the ability to make crazy machinations with redstone wire, Terraria has monster variety, tons of items, bosses, world events etc.

I am more an rpg player, Terraria sounds cool with items and weapons and stuff, plus its way cheaper $9.99 vs $26.95

Minecraft focuses more on building/exploring, whereas Terraria focuses more on items/killing things.

Any chance Minecraft being on sale? Too bad it isn't on Steam

Terraria easily. It's cheaper and much more fun.
