The day after I graduated, my dad tried to strangle me. Seriously.

Be grateful for what you've got, jesus christ.
Currently playing: Diablo 3 and The Last Remnant. Diablo 3 is amazing. The Last Remnant is okay.

I'm amazed the extent to which GameFAQs considers any gifts from parents to be spoiling.

HD 3000 can actually run lots of games on lower settings. And if it's really such an issue, do what the other guy said and say that some apps you'll need are Windows only.
Smart ninja-type dude.

I received nothing for any graduation.

I was already working for a year when I graduated college so that one was also out of the question.

Didn't really care though.

HD3000 can run some medium spec games. Diablo 3 runs on Low-Medium 30FPS 720p on an HD 2000.
I have this sig just to get past the "no all caps" error when my message is just numbers or an acronym.

Or buy a gaming desktop and use the laptop for notes in class, homework, etc.

Which one did you get? The 15" version has a decent midrange card. The main thing though is that new MacBook Pros are coming out next week so it was really a bad time to buy.

Anyways congrats on graduating. I graduated on Friday as well.

Just tell half truths. Research some programs you will need in college or work that are only for windows and hope they are too stupid to catch on.
