Arma 2 CO Day Z with controller.

I see the game supports a controller, but there are some games that just don't work as well with one. I was hoping to buy it and play it with a controller, but how is it? I heard it can severely limit playing options, how?

What lemur is trying to say is that is very easy to accomplish this and any pr0 arma players will tell you that you have a distinct advantage playing arma 2 or any fps game with a controller

80% of the commands for arma 2 you wont need or use with DayZ. Controller works just fine.

and the kb/mouse advantage over controller in FPS is a myth thats been disproven countless times

I don't plan on doing anything super advanced. Just aiming/shooting, moving, looting, changing weapons/using inventory items, and jumping/changing stance. Is there a picture like the keyboard one above, except for the controller? I'd like to see how the controller mapping is.

Doubtful. Looking for it now. The game supports Xbox 360 controllers and maps the buttons for you. I tried it out for awhile, but it just wasn't working well. It was like trying to play a console game with a mouse and keyboard when it was never properly set up for it.

I'm...honestly impressed/surprised ArmA even has a default mapping for any controller, at least for infantry. IIRC, it *tried* to default map my wheel for vehicles, but it didn't work out too well...

Then again, ArmA would be worse than Crysis in the sense the controller layout literally doesn't let you use Prone. >_>

When the hell were console kiddies invited to this part of gamefaqs?
