Are HP Envy's good laptops for multimedia use and semi-gaming friendly?

Please spare me a long and drawn out lectures about how I'm making a big mistake and how I'm wasting my money by not building one myself, I'm fully aware, but I'm looking for a laptop. Thanks.

They are very high quality laptops if not a little pricey. Just be sure to get the best video card you can when you customize.

Well I have a HP DV6-6B04tx and I manage to play most new games on high to max settings with 25-30fps (1366 x 768), which is payable and enjoyable for me.

Even Battlefield 3 is payable on ultra in campaign although only medium online but it looks great anyway.

I'm pretty sure the Envy's are better in every department so I'd say go for it. I love my laptop.

And if you want a point for comparison, here are my specs:
HP DV6-6B04tx
Intel Core i7-2670qm @ 2.20ghz
AMD Radeon HD 6700m 2gb
4gb 1333mhz ddr3 RAM

I'd give that honor to the Samsung Series 7 laptops.

I'd give that honor to the Samsung Series 7 laptops.

But the trackpad is off-center and it uses a full-size keyboard.
