can i skip seeding ? if i skip it will it damage the file i'm downloading?

Seeding is uploading data to other peers. You don't have to do it, but it's rude.

Its not torrenting if you dont seed. So no, you cant "skip" it.

I think you may be missing the whole point of how torrenting files works... wikipedia is your friend.
