Why are the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 so damn good?

And yet they use the absolute cheapest volume unit they could find. I have had to exchange these things 4 times in a little over a year because the volume unit ALWAYS shorts out. My last set got stuck at MAX volume, which is dangerous with these things.

Thank god I actually bought the warranty on these! I never do. lol

In my experience, they're not that great. They're loud, but all the connections wear out pretty quickly.

you realize they were $150 right? I mean, thats pretty expensive for a 2.1 set of computer speakers.

Anyway, I think once my warranty runs out and they break again I'll get some logitech speakers. I've had good luck with everything from Logitech.

$150 isn't much really. I got my 2.0 speakers for $200, and those are considered pretty cheap. Besides the promedias are only really $100ish. Found a set for $106 just now

Well regardless of what you guys think, I love these speakers. They have amazing sound quality and I can get extremely high volume without any distortion. I just wish Klipsch would make the rest of the speakers with the same quality as the drivers.

I love these speakers too but PC:H hates the hell out of them, and prefers crappy ass logitech Z units.

Its true though the fuse in the subwoofer amp or the volume control pod burn out like twice a year for any model.

Its funny because this board told me to get them a year and a half ago. Just like they said to go with AMD because in terms of gaming its better bang for your buck and now they flame me for having AMD. I don't get it.

I would never recommend any Logitech speakers and AMD has fallen too far behind in the CPU realm to be worth buying.
