installing two different GPUs?

Ok so I recently upgraded from a 5870 to a 7970. Needless to say, I'm loving the new card.

Anyway, my issue is that I can run everything just fine with my 7970 EXCEPT for GTAIV which just happens to be my current favorite game. On the 7970 it stutters terribly. Ran just fine on my 5870. Is there any way I can have both cards installed to use the 5870 with GTA?

By rocket to the moon: by airplane to the rocket, by taxi to the airport, by front door to the taxi, by throwing back the blanket hanging down the legs.

Does GTAV have a launcher where you can choose which card to use to run the game. There are games that allow this in the launcher or the options menu and it would probably be the simplest way.

Try it, what can it hurt.

Well I could always just disable the 7970 before playing, thats no problem. My issue I guess is that i don't know if the drivers will clash. Running two different HD series drivers. And would I have to have video out from both cards for this to work properly?

Hmmm, probably, just use different inputs on the display and switch between them if you only have one monitor.
