Are LGA 2011 future proof?

If its one thing when it come to the ever rapid changing tech nothing is future proof. The so-called "future proof" is another marketing jargon for consumers to say the product in this case the socket may or may not be but likely compatible in some capacity to future hardwares. Just take it as a grain of salt.

Rather than worrying about future-proofing, you should focus on buying the wares whenever you only need them based on your budget. This timeline top-dog of a machine will be next mid or underdog few months ahead.

Why does it really matter if the socket is future proof? You will probably just get an Ivy Bridge during the Winter Deal anyway.
