Can I get some good game recommendations that do not require internet except to install/register? My computer can handle any game thank you. Looking for mostly RPG's, will play anything but shooters they piss me off because I am terrible at them. only recent computer game I have played is Starcraft 2. Been playing my Wii and working on my psp backlog. Thank you.

Wow, that's kinda hard especially for commercial games on the market (Steam, Origin, Uplay, etc.) all require some form of permanent or renewable connection to authernticate your games or account.

Your best bet is looking into catalog from sites like GOG.com and likely GamersGate also indie or smalltime developed titles.

Just bring dwarf fortress, it should last you the trip.

Another idea I had was the spy/sniper being able to climb into the soldier's rocket launcher and be launched across the map, dealing more damage, but no splash.

It could be Navy or just work related in general.

If you get Steam set up in offline mode, you can play just about everything they have on there, except for specific titles that have extra DRM. Otherwise, just about everything on GOG.com should be good to go.

Wouldn't this solve the connection-always-required problem?

The video game clause is basically only for research and investigation, a normal user is completely unaffected by it, and it doesn't mean you can just remove the drm legally now.
