Looking at this cheap SSD. Worth it?

My 1TB HDD is getting full (~100GB left) and it's got me thinking about getting more disk space. I've already decided on getting a second 1TB HDD and I'll probably get the same brand as the one I'm using now. Or I'll delete my Steam library and keep the games I'm actually playing. Anyway, this 120GB SSD is $90. I haven't heard of the brand, but I've heard on these boards that the performance increase is good, but only if you get 120GB or more.

Down to the question, hold off on getting it or make the plunge?

It's your call. Prices recently dropped a lot. Don't mind the currency.

The performance increase is fantastic, assuming you get enough space to install windows. 120gb is overkill, but it's not going to hurt, and they're generally a better value.

IIRC, deadly has one of those and has had good results with it. Speaking from my past experience with Mushkin, they make pretty solid stuff.

Even though the game runs in 720p, it produces another 480p stream for the New Controller. That's like 1200p!

From that chart it looks like they won't be getting much cheaper for at least 3 months I guess? I might as well get one now then. And I, like many others, plan on installing Windows and my browsers along with a few of my favorite games. Thanks guys.

It's like stocks. You never know :p

I think I might get one after Apple's WWDC. There's a tiny voice in my head that claims some tech will drop after events like that. But I'm only guessing.

They seem to be dropping in price almost monthly lately, but it's not going to hurt to get one. That's an amazing deal for a 120gb SSD.

No, it doesn't look that way. Here's a better chart:

http://camelegg.com/product/N82E16820226236

To me it looks like 60/64GB SSDs will soon be phased out with 120/128GB drives taking their price point. SSDs are looking to be dropping down one price tier. There's already a 512GB one for $400 which was what the 240/256 were not too long ago.

That's what I get for not converting the currency. Regardless, your analysis spells a bright future.. but now I don't know if I want to wait or not! Thanks =P.
