Well Microsoft makes Office for Mac. It's not free, but if you're looking for something like Office, well there you go.

There isnt a free MS word like program that comes built in? Damn these prices are so steep and they cant even include a proper word program

If you're a college student, you can probably get it through your student bookstore for cheap. If not, you can try OpenOffice.org and download that.

You say that like MS Word is a small application that is easy to code. That being said... if you want one like LibreOffice, why not just use LibreOffice?

If you're concerned about steep prices, you could always not buy a Mac.
