Need suggestions on building a new micro-desktop

#1emidasPosted 6/6/2012 10:42:02 AM
I need a new desktop for work, one which we would be taking to conferences and such. Therefore, my boss wants it to be a micro. It needs to be able to run all the usual Office applications, WebEx, and we might need to access Photoshop on it from time to time. It needs to have two display ports and wireless capability. We do not need monitors, and the HDD can be as small as 250GB. The cheaper the better.

My suggestion is a Dell OptiPlex 990 SFF with a Core i3 and 4 GB of RAM.
The onboard video comes with a VGA and DisplayPort output.
You could get the second DisplayPort output by adding a cheap low-profile video card such as a Radeon 5450.

The OptiPlex 990 USFF would be smaller, but unfortunately it won't support adding a video card.
