Building my pc... question about backing up my old files

#1giglamesh99Posted 6/6/2012 12:14:30 PM
I'm building my PC tomorrow and I started to save my files on my current hard drive so I have photos, music and stuff for my new hard drive. What do I do about my games tho?

Can I transfer my game files over so I can avoid reinstalling everything or is there a chance I can screw something up on my new hard drive doing that.

are the games on steam?
If console gaming is so cheap then why do I have to spend $600~ in order to play Super Mario Galaxy, Uncharted 3 and Halo 3?

What did Steam do to your DCUO?
i5 2500k | Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3 | Gigabyte HD69501GB | Chaser Mk-1 | 128GB M4 SSD
OCZ ZT Series 750W Modular | 4GB Ripjaws X RAM | 500GB Caviar Blue

Well it wasn't really steams fault but I bought DC universe from them and the game was having issues installing. It seemed like a widespread problem at launch and was a DC universe patch problem. 2 Weeks it never got fixed for me, asked for a refund from steam but they offered me credit for another game.
