The first game is worth the price. Not sure about the second, though. I played it for about 15 minutes and found it too nauseating to continue due to the extremely low FOV. --- i5 2500k at 4.5ghz - Sapphire 5850 crossfire - MSI Z68A-GD80 - Seasonic X 750W - GSkill 16GB - Crucial m4 128GB - NZXT Beta EVO
Far Cry 1 was pretty revolutionary at the time, and is still quite fun in some ways. However it is obscenely difficult...
Far Cry 2 is pretty and has nice environments, but is just one big open world bore. --- i7 920 @ 3Ghz, MSI X58 Platinum, 6GB DDR3 PC10700, Powercolor 4870X2, 2x500GB WD in Raid-0, 1TB Samsung, 1.5TB Maxtor, 950W PSU, Windows 7 RTM x64
Far Cry is one of the best single player shooter experiences out there hands down. The second game was probably a solid 7.5 or 8.0 game but a huge let down after the first --- Know the rules well, so you can break them effectively.
The first couple hours of FC2 were the best game I've ever played. Well worth the $5, even if the game drops off a cliff. --- i7 930 @ 3.6 | 2x MSI GTX 560Ti 2GB Twin Frozr II | EVGA E758 | 6GB G.Skill Ripjaws | Windows 7 64bit | OCZ ZX1250 | 1TB WD Caviar Black | AW2310 | Antec 1200
I haven't played the original, but I got FC2 free with a video card and thought it was garbage. Respawning enemies and rushed (literally, the VA's seem to speed through their dialog) voice work ruined what may have been a decent game. --- || PSN/360 GT: Treason686 || PC: Core i7 920 || 6GB DDR3|| Crossfire XFX Radeon 6870 || HP w2408h
