Raw Mouse Input. What is it?

#1Unhead_Posted 6/6/2012 3:14:07 PM
I notice many games have the option to enable or disable it.

I have tried using it on my Razer Deathadder, Mamba, and Corsair M90.

Don't really know what it does, could someone explain it to me or describe the performance impact? I've tried googleling it, but I just get literal definitions, and forum posts I don't understand.

Thanks.

I believe it just overrides any ingame mouse settings like Acceleration and smoothing.

Sweet, so basically, it's better in FPS's to leave it off right?

No. Mouse acceleration and smoothing are bad things of badness.

Sorry, I meant leave Raw Input on, my brain is fried from work...

I should get better aiming control in Battlefield 3 then with Raw Input?
