Should I Pass On Getting This Monitor?

ASUS VS Series VS247H-P Black 23.6". (1920x1080).

I currently have a 17" eMachines e17t6w (1440x900) & also sometimes I use my 32" Emerson TV (1280x720).

http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4166267&CatId=167

I like the TV the best, I don't know why (it's res is lower) but it makes things more colorful & just looks great overall over my 17". It's a hassle taking the TV to my desk though every time I want to use it. What I love about lower resolutions is that I can get away w/ higher settings but if I upgrade that will cost me such things.

Anyways, I ask if I should bother or not upgrading my monitor because I fear my GPU will not be able to keep up w/ the resolution. (Bad Company 2, Deus Ex: HR, The Sims 3, Crysis) games like that. I know if I do get it I will have to upgrade so any suggestions & what are your opinions on this here situation?

Save for a fancy new GPU first.

& then pull through w/ said monitor? Or can I get the monitor & be able to "hold out / deal with it" on my 5770 till I get a new GPU? Or would it be unbearable?

That's perfect, a great performance increase based off gpureview & hwcompare & is that two free games I see? (Probably a dumb question) But would that fit fine on my Micro ATX mobo & mini tower casing? (etc)..

I will def. get this first if that is what I should do guys.

If you're worried about performance, try 1600 x 900

The HD 6950 might not fit in a small case. Go with a HD 6870 or GTX 560:

I don't think that is even a worthy jump from 1440x900?

Are those suggestions any good for 1920x1080 at high / max settings? I was considering the 6870 myself before this topic.
