Western Digital or Seagate HDD

I'm looking for a 2 TB 7200 RPM HDD.

Seagate is significantly cheaper (90$) but some I noticed many of the reviews said these things just don't work. And $120 dollars for a fast 2GB HDD does seem almost too good to be true.

The Western Digital one is way more than I'd like to spend, but there were fewer complaints about them being unrealiable.

Can anyone verify that the Seagate ones are in fact complete junk, and that I should go with Western Digital?

seagate is fine, although go with WD if you want something slightly faster

I prefer WD, but both are OK.

I'll concur with the above. The WD drive is better, but if price is a limiting factor, get the Seagate.

I got my Seagate for $110 from Microcenter.

I have a problem with WD, I bought their My Book 3gb external hard drive and it died on me in 7 months and customer support totally worthless.

Been running seagate drives since i built my computer in 2007 and they are still going strong. WD does have some faster hard drives though I believe.
