Is this a good gaming desktop?

Yes I know it's AlienWare, but it has pretty stellar reviews and it's in my budget. This is for the basic $699.00 specs which are:

Windows Home 7 Premium

3rd Gen Intel® Core™ i7-3770 processor

1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA® GeForce®

4GB (2x2GB) Dual Channel DDR3 at 1333MHz Memory

This price also includes an optical gaming mouse and a keyboard. Is this a good deal, or over-priced? Also what do you think of the system overall? The user reviews as I mentioned are stellar, and a lot of YouTube reviewers are giving it 9/10 stars. Your opinion?

Also how powerful with those specs will this be out of the box? Anything to be upgraded right away? Dunno much about this stuff, but $700 seems like a good deal..

Is this customizable at all? And you're going to need to specify what Nvidia card you have.

Sorry, the video card says GTX 555.. and the reviews say it IS customizable, it just won't fit ALL regular sized PC components. It does mention things like graphics cards and memory is easily upgradeable.

That GPU is way to weak to be paired with that processor and it would run you at least $200 to get a decent one. I'm not sure what you are aiming for, but that PC couldn't get 60FPS in any games released in the last couple years.

The graphics card to way to weak. If you can get at least a GTX 560 Ti then its good.

You're not looking at the whole item. The $699 price is for the i3 processor version with a nVidia GT545 graphics card.

I meant if you can choose what parts to get on the website itself. If you can, downgrade the processor to a decent i5 and upgrade the video card.

The X51's actually a fantastic deal if you're looking to PC gaming as a console alternative. The small form factor and good cooling allow you to put it in a TV stand, plug in a 360 controller, and game.

As a standard-issue desktop, I wouldn't get an X51. Its use lies in its compactness, which isn't a huge benefit if you've got an entire desk worth of space.

Sure it's tiny, but a regular mATX case isn't THAT much bigger, and I can't imagine anyone not having room SOMEWHERE for an mATX case. If you absolutely don't have room for anything bigger you've got bigger problems and should contact a therapist to deal with your extreme hoarding issues.

This desktop with a $150 graphics card in it would actually be a better deal, even if it weren't on sale today. http://www.newegg.com/Special/ShellShocker.aspx?cm_sp=ShellShocker-_-982274-_-06262012_1
