The two games are completely different. Anyways check out Alan Wake, excellent game. Turns amazing in chapter 3.

It is in no way similar to L.A. Noire. That being said, I have never raged before at a game more than I did with Alan Wake, yet I still enjoyed it immensely.

I only started to rage on the max difficulty when I got half way through the game. I couldn't get through this wooded area at all. Ended up selling it. I got only like 16 hours out of it (xbox version) but I did thoroughly enjoy it.

So different, LA Noire is not an action game, it is an adventure games with a few action sequences here and there. The main thing about the game is solving puzzles, not shooting bad guys.

Alan wake is almost the direct opposite.
