Help: metro 2033 w/ gamepad

#11LtMessiahDM504Posted 7/18/2012 6:47:25 AM
I can't comment on the problem, best thing to do is google the issue and/or check steam forums for the issue. That's how I fixed most of my problems with games for PC.

And I would highly suggest getting used to the mouse and keyboard. I understand the controller is more comfortable but this isn't CoD. Its not a very fluid FPS game. Playing with a mouse and keyboard doesn't feel perfect, so a controller would make it that much worse.

Its a actual very simple why I'm using a ps3 controller - it doesnt cost me anything. If I want to use a 360 controller I believe a receiver is required. Simple as that. And it has worked flawlessly up until this game.

Joy2key is the program that pretends the ps3 controller is a 360 one

I don't use Joy2Key but is there a way to turn the sensitivity down in the program rather than the game?

I use a PS3 controller for games instead of an Xbox controller when needed. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it (this issue aside), in fact it's far better for me.

Would i want to play Super Meat Boy with a 360 pad? Haha no.

Set ds3Tool/Motionjoy to xbox controller emulation mode and try again.

Worst controller ever. Ok, maybe not ever, but the triggers on that thing *Charles Barkley voice* are turrible, just turrible. Use a 360 controller.

Why would you ever want to do that?

I hate people who responds to topics like this. The man is asking for some assistance regarding his gamepad, he doesn't want you putting him down over his choice of playing the game.

He may not want to be put down over his choice of control scheme, but he very clearly needs to be put down over his choice of control scheme.

okay guy, like I said, it works well enough and its free to use. Hopefully you can grasp that concept. and I dont know what makes you I think I "very clearly" need to be put down dumbass.

I did manage to get it working through motionjoy afterall so thank you to people who actually tried to offer advice

lord knows there are worst things to be put down about. Like nerds who feel their mouse and keyboard is there only companion in life and anyone who feels otherwise deserves scolding. Because it's not as if a controller is more comfortable to use or anything, or that pressing buttons and analog movement is more intuitive than using wasd to awkwardly move in 45 degree directions while your trying to press a single key on the other side of the keyboard.
