If someone wants your credit card, it's pretty easy to to get it so long as you've used it at least once.
Using it on steam isn't going to increase those chances. --- Men must be taught as if you taught them not, And things unknown proposed as things forgot. Shooting blanks, every time, all the time.

American Gamestops now sell $25 and $50 Steam Cards.

If you're worried about online purchases, buy a prepaid visa or something and use that. Alternately, steam cards let you put $20 or $50 in a "Steam wallet".
