Battlefield 1942 free on Origin!

Honestly I don't care if it requires Origin, Battlefield 1942 is worth having another client for even if I doubt I'll ever use it for anything else.

I've still got a copy of 1942: Complete around here somewhere. CD version of it at that...

Don't think I ever really played it aside from some screwing around with the AI.

lost me at origin

hey look another mindless sheep

I'd say the exact same thing about anyone using Origin. You guys -are- the definition of mindless sheep.

Even free on Origin, I'd still pirate it.

This is GREAT!!! My PS3 with the free copy of 1942 (or was it 1943?) just went out and I was beginning to wonder how the hell I was going to play this again.

It will be so much better on my PC than the PS3 anyhow. YAY!!!

Played BF2 and BF3 but never BF1942. Thanks!

Are people even still playing anymore though? This game is very old.

I just played it for a bit

It's full of TKers and foreigners (I'm guessing, high ping, no response in chat).

Was full of DICE guys earlier. Also, 1943 and 1942 are two completely different games. 1943 was a standalone game based on Battlefield Bad Company that was set in WWII. 1942 is a much much older game with a different play style.

Also, it's profoundly sad that ten year old AI is still smarter and more aggressive than some of the people I get stuck with on Metro.

xD
I find that the AI can, at the least, provide better support than a lot of human players you find.

Not interested. Nothing against EA, I just don't like first person shooters. What I do dislike is the fact that EA owns several of what WERE good companies(such as maxis, west wood studios, bioware, etc)
