Why you should vote for Obama if you care at all about internet openness.

You mean the wild card of spending even more in the billions as well as giving tax breaks left and right without actually discussing the magical plan on how more spending will decrease the deficit?

...By cutting other wasteful government spending like, oh, I don't know, the government subsidy given to Exxon even though Exxon IN NO WAY needs that money.

Btw, the money the government give Exxon is from our taxes.

Also, numerically decreasing the deficit isn't the goal. Decreasing it as a percentage of GDP is...and guess what: it's reached 100%.

Like giving our military billions of dollars?

It's not the goal to spend less money?? Yeah, great plan.

I didn't give any specific alternative, I don't know why you're bringing the military in to this conversation as if that's my goal.

I answered the question: no more, no less.

Also, if you can't understand the difference (and, inherently, the differing importance of the two) between the deficit as a numeric value and the deficit as a percentage of GDP then you need to go back to school.

"Spending less money" is an ignorant statement: it doesn't include the likes of inflation, the natural Business Cycle, increases/decreases in the nation's GDPr....the numeric deficit will continue to grow because inflation (which, at around 2%, is desirable) will push the numbers up. You only can determine the real value of the deficit when you look at how much the country is producing.

Yet when anyone brings up that Bush doubled the deficit while in office, they are happy to use the numerical figure to make it seem better than Obama's figure. Not only that, but people are happy to throw around Obama's numerical figure. But hey, Romney would have decreased it as a percentage right? Get back to me when you finally decide which figures you actually want to use.

I honestly don't know why you can't seem to grasp what I'm saying.

Please point out to me ANYWHERE where I make an argument using one type of deficit, then proceed to use the other to contradictorily make my point?

I never brought up Bush. I never brought up what party I support. I never brought up an argument using the numerical/percentage of GDPr deficit.

I purely, simply, answered the questions put forth. I didn't push any views on you.

When you learn how to debate (read: not put words and implications in someone's mouth), then go ahead and post.

Yet you insisted on bringing up Exxon yet refused to acknowledge Romney's spending plan. Which, by the way, completely evaded what I said in the first place.
