Been doing it for years. The same frustration has never vanished. That being the fact that the internet isn't instant leading to constant bull crap.
"Oh, you dodge my bullets and jumped behind that barrier? Lets just put a bullet in your head right after you did that."
I know everyone faces that bullcrap. However, I"m just sick of it. It's always bothered me.... it doesn't feel natural. I can't exactly expect instant internet either. But I can play games where twitch stuff like that doesn't matter.
It tears me away from the game every time it happens and it happens all the time. Even with the best internet if you're playing with someone on the other side of the world you can lag, if you play with someone who lags they can take everyone down with them. It's just unattractive.
So here I go only playing turn based online games or games where perfect timing doesn't matter! Wheeee!!! ;p
This might be one of the worst reasons I've ever seen for quitting multiplayer games but okay.
Funny. Its actually one of the most valid one I've seen. Whats with all the kids here, anyway
Lag has always been an issue, but I've never been bothered by it with the right ping. That is, under 100, no way in hell do I touch anything thats 100, and if its fast paced/is a shooter, one needs more like 50 to feel perfect. Which is pretty damn hard to get.
I've gotten sick of it myself. Every game I'd still play online tend to be full of people that aren't close enough for me to get what I call an acceptable ping, so its instantly garbage.
There is nothing less fun than playing a skill based game where your skill doesn't matter, you're lagging, who cares, you might as well not play at all.
Can't wait for a physic breakthrough that has instant internet speed across the globe. Oh yeah. --- http://www.youtube.com/user/SFJake250?feature=watch http://sfjake.zxq.net/
