I'm wanting to get a new laptop.. I haven't had a new one since the asus g50vt-x5, and it's well over time to retire it, I also haven't had much time to do much research,. Any idea what I could go with, to get the best bang for my buck? looking to spend 900-1500, the hp dv7 Beats Edition keeps coming up, but I don't really trust hp for gaming.. That's the best bang for your bug. You can build a pretty nice one in that range. Make sure it has a 675m, 680m or 7970m GPU. If you're going to spend that kind of money nothing less than one of those is acceptable. --- Gamefaqs game rating system : 10 = Best Game Ever. 8-9. Crushing dissapointment. Below 8 :Total Garbage. The guy who mentioned the other cards was referring to getting something like a sager or msi build. His wording was poor which is where the confusion comes from. --- Sager np9370 | Intel i7 3630qm | GTX 670m SLI | 12GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz | 128GB SSD | 500GB HDD x2
I've had an HP DV6 that I've been gaming on for a little over a year now. Gets between 60° - 70° C while gaming (60° if you have it ventilated well). --- Spaceman Spiff

2.5 years on my dv6 and it's mid 90s while gaming. Although, it always has run pretty hot. --- RENAMON!! *weeping* YOU HAVEN'T BENT ANYONE OVER THE SINK AND SHOVED A "CHECK THE STICKY* UP THEIR ASS IN MONTHS!! *curls into ball crying*- Cither3000
