Its alright but I am not that creative though. Its really satisfying if you plain survival without cheating and making something great with your hard earned materials.

Good with a small group of friends. Defo go with some mods though, unless you want it solely for lego.

When I found it back in 2010? (just before it officially became known as mc alpha)
I enjoyed it sort of, then smp was released for testing and I had so many good times playing with people I didn't even know and it was awesome.

Nowadays though, it sucks bad. I don't know why but it's just not fun anymore in any way

I've played more of Minecraft than I've played of any other game, ever. But I tend to play it obsessively for a few weeks, slow down and then burn out hard and don't touch it again for 6 months. Then I get obsessed again.

Having one or two of the right mods is a great way to keep it fresh for a while longer, though. Just don't get something overpowered early on that causes you to burn out even FASTER. I think Ars Magica is a good example of this: You get too powerful too fast and end up skipping out on a lot of the stuff you'd try to earn otherwise.

On a side note, I'm really glad that I started back in Alpha. Having less that you could do and being so much more alone in the world made it feel a lot scarier and like more of an adventure. I appreciate additions like villagers and other friendly creatures and the numerous new blocks and craftables but the memories which feel the most "Minecraft" are the ones where I knew my character was the only human and I had no concept of how to survive so I built myself a tiny dirt tower to wait out the nights, and gradually expanded it outward as I gathered more dirt until I had a little dirt house and finally expanded it into a stone fort and built a basement area leading into a mine for nighttime exploration. I wish I could amnesia myself and do that all again.

I'll never get that back, but I play it a different way now: Play on a server with some friends and work together or try to one-up each others' creations.

Some people don't get into it at all. Some burn out. I don't see myself ever getting tired of it. I've been playing since Beta 1.1 in January 2011, and I feel like I've only scratched the surface of all the ideas I have of things to do.

From an objective standpoint, I can't see any reason why it's got worse.

I myself too played it in alpha, and now can't stand it. But that's only because I played it so much back then- if you've never played it before it's better than ever.

It's getting better still.
I don't play it as often as I used to, but I still play it regularly.
