I'd wager 4 gtx 690's would be involved...

Doubt it, can't have 8 GPU's running at once as far as I'm aware.

Yeah, you can only have 2 690s, 2 690s=quad SLI, and it would still get outdone by quad SLI 680s, let alone quad 780s or titans.

As for what I would still consider to be a 'gaming' rig would be EVGA's Xeon based gaming board with dual 2011 sockets, a pair E5-2687W's (8 cores, 16 threads at 3.1-3.7GHz for a total of 16 cores, 32 threads at 3.7GHz with turboboost) and quad titans, or if what was said above was true about unlocked 780s beating titans then quad 780s.

seems like a pretty easy way to cut a couple grand profit for like 2 hours of work max putting it together.

Putting together anything like in the eBay link would take at least a few days, maybe up to a week total, with all the testing of the loop and getting the overclock stable.

How long would that ebay PC last until it was outdated?

Define outdated? That system would be able to max games out at 60+fps for many yeears.

I'd wager 4 gtx 690's would be involved... or the titan. I think there is a build posted of a "supercomputer" with a few titans.

It's here:

Overkill doesn't even ****ing describe this.

LOL. That price is not owrth it. He wants 13k for a system where he only spent like 6-7k on parts? LOL what a dumbass. No one is going to buy that...

but 2 people have bought it for 11k.
