well this would be logical, if i wasn't connected to the internet! My Steam wouldn't go to online mode so I did do the "delete clientregistry.blob" thing, as well as checking my registry to see if steam "offline" is set to value "1" (It isn't.)
So I attempted a fresh install of Steam only to get the error stating that "In order for steam to start, it must first be connected to the internet"
anyone else experience this issue? it's not my internet as my laptop connects to steam just fine, how the heck do I fix this? --- Xbox Live: Kyler45 AC:CF 0605-3418-4438 Name: Kyler Town: Larova
Last time I had the issue it eventually just fixed itself. Mundane and avoidy as it sounds, disconnecting and reconnecting from your internet connection and even simply restarting your machine might do it.
as long as you don't uninstall steam since that'll uninstall and delete all your games.. OR move the games to another folder first...
But if I've ever seen this issue, I just shut steam down and restart it and that usually fixes it... or like the other guy said, reboot. --- http://badges.mypersonality.info/badge/0/19/193056.png http://www.speedtest.net/result/2309944238.png
