Is this ultrabook a good deal? Which of the two is better for me?

I'm a student that simply needs something to use Microsoft Word/OneNote and Chrome/Firefox in conjunction without lagging like I did on my old netbook. I have a desktop so gaming on it won't be a priority at all. These are two deals I'm looking at.

Given my needs, is the first one overpowered (and thus overpriced) for me? I need something portable and affordable, which is why I'm looking at these two. And hopefully it can last me at least 3 years without any hiccups. Additionally, a decent battery life (a few hours of on-screen time) would be great as well.

Thanks in advance.

It's a good deal but I don't like buying anything on ebay.
