Can't I just delete the .esp files form the NMM plugins list?
That doesn't remove any data files that the mods may have added or modified. What you should have done was make a backup of your original data files and then just use those to replace your modded data files. --- http://img87.imageshack.us/img87/6451/onyxsig.jpg

^ This. What the hell makes people think they can just mod a game and it'll be fine? You have to be careful and make a backup of the vanilla game. I have every game I mod backed up to an external hard drive so if I need to reinstall it it doesn't take near as long as downloading the damn thing --- "Nowhere is longer safe.
