A sign that PC is dying? >.>

I was just thinking... like maybe 2-3 years ago, this board was TOO active. I remember when I first asked a question on here, it got moved down to page 2 if no one bumped it in like 3 mins. It was common place to have to constantly bump your own topic to get answers. This board use to rival WoW when it was at it's peak.

Now I can post something and come back 8 hours and it could still be on the 1st page.

Pc message board as a whole is much bigger and busy isnt just WoW now, with Dota 2 Diablo 3 SC2 LoL, FFXIV,Skyrim

all this takes away from the Pc msg board, then theres the fact that next gen console has just been announced at they are going to be flatout busy for a while now.

There are a few reasons for this:
(1) Boards like this are not popular among the upcoming generation. Most of this website's population is now between 20 and 40 years old. We are not gaining the new generation and our generation is slowly moving to other sites or doesn't have the time for posting anymore (jobs, families, etc.).

(2) This website used to be combined with Gamespot (as of two-three years ago I believe it still was). While we had different boards, it certainly increased the amount of viewers this site received.

(3) This website is mainly console based.

(4) This isn't the only website that has active PC message boards. There are at least a handful of other websites I can think of that receive more traffic on their PC boards.
...
There are many other reasons but these are the main ones that come to mind.

These do not point to PC gaming dying though.

People in their teens don't even know what a message board is most of the time. If you have a younger cousin or something just ask them if they know what one is and see their reaction.
