Should I start playing Dota 2?

Yay or nay? Also, please give a reason why. I'm a bit turned off of it because of how hardcore some people make it out to be, yet it also looks interesting... I'm torn.

The only reason people call it hardcore is because it's a type of game where it's 100% competitive. There's no PvE, there's no solo. Just a bunch of people forced to team together raging at each other when things go wrong.

It takes just as much skill as other type games.

Only thing hard about the game is learning the mechanics, rules, all the characters powers... which can take a long time. All that is just memory skills.

I realize it's free. I recently moved again and have a bandwidth cap once again. It's a rather low cap and I don't want to unnecessarily waste any of it.

No. It's much deeper than that. You have to last hit, which will be hard at first and you will always have to improve at that, and denying which is last hitting their minions. Not only knowing your abilities and the enemies but knowing your allies and what everyone will be building to help you decide how to build. It's not just memory skills it's very much real time decision making and reflexes. Dota 2 is the Dark Souls of MOBAs. I don't even know what you're saying by "rules" what rules are hard to grasp?

All what you just said is memorizing skills. The only thing you said that takes "skill" is last hitting. But honestly, you can't argue that last hitting takes skill. All you doing is clicking once on the screen to score a kill.

Flash games phone games are harder than last hitting is in MOBAs. And that's basiclly what last hitting is like.

I like MOBAs. But I like other games too and other type games take skill also.
