If you really want a dedicated physx card you should sell that GTX 460 and buy a GTX 650 with the money as it uses a lot less power and I mean a lot less power according to graphs I'm looking at in comparison to that 460.

Yea I'm sure it does. If I sell the 460 though I'm not going to buy a replacement. This is a "use it because it's staring me in the face" sort of thing.

It would be fine, with room to spare. You are right that the TP-650 is a good unit, it still is even though it's no longer really sold.

Ah, I was hoping you would respond. You are the one who recommended this unit 2+ years ago lol.

I'm surprised anyone remembers this stuff, I sure don't :) I'm glad the unit is serving you well.

Pretty sure you'll actually lose performance because there's quite a gap between those two cards.

He's using the 460 for PhysX, not SLI.

I was thinking the same thing. Shubs comment told me all I needed to know.

Then why would you think it would make things run worse when the 460 would be lessening the load for the other GPU?

I may end up giving it to a buddy who has wanted to get into pc gaming for awhile... He has some prebuilt junk from Bestbuy but it's decent. I'm thinking a PSU upgrade needs to happen immediately. Otherwise I think it's got a sandybridge i3 and 4 GB ram so he should be able to game on mid-high settings @ 1600x900...
