Best way to go about transferring Steam games between my SSD and HDD?

Would it be done through the Steam application or the Steam folder?

Create folder in C drive called steam.

Copy the game directory there.

Delete local content in steam.

click install game. create new steam library on drive C. Pick steam folder you made.

Steam will discover the files.

Sounds like much more of a hassle than steam mover. Works granted, but yeah, using the SSD for games usually means you want to move things there temporarily and then back again. Steammover is much better for that with its symbolic links.

Well, yeah, I've never used steam mover. I generally never use yet more software, for something I can do manually. But I didn't realize this game is moving back and forth between SSD and HDD, maybe it's easier to use this program

It's easy to use. Just select the source and the destination drive, select your game you want move and click the transfer arrow. That's it.
