Really wanted to play my recently purchased Fallout 3 GotY

Did the troubleshooting, sent in a ticket, got the generic "shut up and wait" reply from Steam. Can anyone who has had this issue in the past give me an idea as to how long I'll be waiting?

Just wait once you solve that, if you have Windows 7 or 8, you're going to have a hell of a time running it. All crashes, all the time.

Well back when I had a hard copy of the game (didn't get around to reinstalling when I last reinstalled my OS and then promptly lost the damned thing on a transcontinental move), it ran just fine on 7. From what I've been reading, that's more luck than anything. Fingers crossed for now I guess.
