Will SimCity ever be on Steam?

There is nothing wrong with Origin, apart from the company that owns it.

There's nothing wrong with it, but it's leagues behind Steam in features.

Less charitable people would say steam is leagues ahead in terms of bloat. The only feature Origin really needs that it's missing is an easy backup solution.

Everyone complains about Origin. It works for me just like Steam does. You click the game you want to play, the game starts, and then Origin leaves you alone.

Origin is just fine guys.

It's not an issue of Origin being non-functional. It's that you have to install several different services just to have access to all your games, when it would be best for the consumer (us) for all the games to be on one service. And the people have clearly shown to prefer Steam.

I currently have Steam, Origin, Uplay, and GameFly Manager installed. It's annoying, and I can't imagine why anybody wouldn't prefer all the games to just be on Steam.

Yep, companies think that consumers want a bunch of drm's on their comps

No they just don't care about trivially inconveniencing people who will give them money regardless versus handing some of their profits and a good chunk of control over to a direct competitor.

W/e you say Orestes, every other DRM lags behind steam. Steam offers people a beneficial service while it works in tandem as a means to get people to buy games rather than pirate them. When EA gets the crap together who knows maybe Origin will finally surpass steam one day.

I don't use Origin because:
- Prices are higher than every other digital store
- Stoped playing the Origin required games (1)
- None of my Steam friends or anyone else I know uses it.
